About this Position:

The main function of this Business Analyst role is to gather data for analysis and inform the division of its performance in areas such as Project Workload Planning, Finance, HR, Purchasing, and IT. Through this activity, the Business Analyst will work with management to help foster a culture of continuous improvement (for people, quality, cost, and delivery characteristics), focus on the customer, and the joy of creating.

Responsibilities include:

• Gather data from multiple sources (project hours databases, project milestone reports, department budgets, task-tracking tools) in order to create a concise, accurate report of division performance in relation to set performance indicators for presentation to management on a monthly basis.
• Analyze performance data over time to create predictive tools to aid management in decision-making in the areas of resource and project delivery
• Analyze performance over time to propose and/or improve KPI’s
• Create scripts and templates to improve data throughput.

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics or BA in Business or Accounting with demonstrated coding/scripting skills

Required Education:

• 5+ years experience making Powerpoint presentations to management with high technical content, including financials and technical KPIs
• Resourceful and flexible in adapting to changing policies and protocols
• High proficiency in excel, with the ability to create and modify intermediate-advanced formulas and functions, including pivot tables

Desired skills:

• Ability to transform data using SQL, Python, R, etc. is strongly preferred
• Resourceful, self-starter that is comfortable working on own initiative with limited supervision, yet collaborates resourcefully laterally and vertically.
