SUMMARY OF POSITION: We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Business Development Representative with experience in supporting sales teams with a focus on Language Training, Language Testing, Translation, and Interpretation services, along with Culture, Diversity & Inclusion solutions. You will be responsible for supporting the North American Corporate and Government Sales Team and helping them engage and qualify leads from Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations. The ideal candidate has experience in coordinating and managing the daily lead-generation output for the entire team and possesses extensive experience in qualifying new leads for corporate and government sales teams. The position requires the ability to multitask, support government and corporate sales teams in North America, and deliver high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and aggressively pursue new business opportunities to generate and qualify leads to align with strategic campaigns for Corporate and Government Sales Teams
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the SAEs by assisting with lead-generation campaigns, business intelligence research, and other duties and tasks on an as-needed basis.
  • Successfully communicate and engage with prospects on a daily basis to identify their requirements and potential business opportunities for Strategic Account Executives and help facilitate client meetings for the Corporate and Government Sales Teams
  • Create a list of potential buyers using tools provided to sales-qualified leads and opportunities
  • Manage Incoming leads and close or align according to the value of the overall opportunity
  • Demonstrates commercial acumen and understanding of client’s business needs, identifying where Berlitz's portfolio of products and services can offer value to the client
  • Utilize industry-leading sales enablement tools aimed at helping with the lead generation and qualification of new prospects
  • Present products to prospective clients and effectively communicate the value proposition for the entire Berlitz portfolio of service offerings
  • Help support the SAEs in the qualification of RFPs and developing proposals for competitive bids and solicitations.
  • Work closely with Revenue Operations Manager to help with the development of KPI reporting, review of Salesforce data, and other day-to-day aspects of the Sales Team’s performance

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • In-Depth Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Language Training, Language Testing, and other Language Solutions (Translation and Interpretation) within the global marketplace, with a focus on North America
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Salesforce, MS Office Suite, ZoomInfo, GovSpend, FedMine, and other Sales Enablement Tools (HubSpot, Engage, Chorus, Gong, etc.)
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience with cold-calling campaigns and a proven track record of converting cold calls to qualified leads and meetings.
  • A strong business acumen
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about making a positive impact on the team’s overall success
  • College Degree in business administration, sales, or marketing is preferred but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a home office. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
