What we are looking for

NextCare Urgent Care is looking for a Business Office Clerk to be a part of our Urgent Care Team.


Location

To join our Billing team in Tempe, AZ. This is an office based position.


Responsibilities

The Business Office Clerk is responsible for filing and data entry assistance to department. Assist with secondary billing, collection agency placements, and coordinate paperwork flow for Workers Comp claims

How you will make an impact

The Business Office Clerk supports the organization with the following:

  • Creating filing system and/or files.
  • Purging old files, including rotating prior year files into the storage space and moving more recent year’s files into the file room.
  • Filing open accounts payable, journal entries and miscellaneous as needed in manner designated.
  • Assist with the placement of patient pay accounts to collection agencies
  • Assist with address recovery and skip trace status changes
  • Data entry and retrieval of information using the computer.
  • Assist in miscellaneous claim and resubmission projects.
  • Assist other departments as needed with similar duties.

Essential Education, Experience and Skills:

Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Skills: Ability to use common sense understanding of the filing system, alphabet and counting to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.


Valued But Not Required Education, Experience and Skills:

Experience: office environment experience, preferably in filing or data entry.
