Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a Business Operations Manager for Government Services. This role can be located in Hazelwood, MO., Seattle, WA., or Long Beach, CA.

In this role you will be responsible for managing a team of Business Operations Specialists who support and promote the operational excellence of the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Government Services business globally, directly supporting the executive leadership team. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading the development, execution, and implementation of cross functional improvement initiatives focused on systemic issues and processes impacting first time quality, on time delivery, and operational excellence.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees performing business management activities in the area of Business Operations
• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
• Ensures work statement compliance and consistent management system processes and tools are used
• Manages, develops and motivates employees
• Controls and delivers project milestones and optimize the contribution of the people involved
• Utilizes knowledge of how the business and organization operates, policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization to achieve optimal project and team outcomes

The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the listed location option. This position allows some telecommuting. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 5+ years’ experience in Business Process Modeling, Process Management Skills, Integrated Systems Thinking, Process Improvement Methods and/or Analytical Skills
• 5+ years’ experience leading or managing projects that involve cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
• 3+ years’ experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
• 3+ years’ experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior management, customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
• 3+ years’ experience with project management and ability to self-manage projects

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 2+ years’ experience communicating, advising, or briefing Executive Leadership
• 2+ years’ experience supporting aerospace government defense programs
• 1+ years’ supporting the design, development or implementation of digital solutions
