Per Diem/ PRN as needed

POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, develops and provides comprehensive speech language pathology programs to patients requiring these services. Programs are directed at enabling patients with disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice, hearing and swallowing to achieve maximum levels of communication and function as related to their physical, mental, and social capabilities following disease or injury. Reevaluates and adjusts these programs to meet patients changing needs and interacts with the interdisciplinary patient care teams for coordinated patient care. Participates in performance improvements and department development activities.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Completionof an entry level masters curriculum of professional education in speechlanguage pathology, accredited by the American Board of Examiners in SpeechPathology and Audiology and approved by the Speech Language Pathology Board ofCalifornia or an education considered by the Board to be equivalent. M. A. /M.S. required

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
CurrentCalifornia License as a Speech Language Pathologist by the Speech LanguagePathology Board of California

CurrentBasic Cardiac Life Support Provider Certification

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1Year full time equivalent or more prior hospital experience. Must have completed Clinical FellowshipYear/Required Professional Experience (CFY/RPE)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Ability to learnand utilize computerized patient care management system.

Ability tounderstand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must effectively read,write and verbally communicate in the English language.
