Job Summary: Cage Cashier

Responsible for chip and cash fund at cage window during a shift. Performs all duties assigned in accordance with legal regulations and requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies.

• Provide information about casino promotions to guests.
• Compute and record totals of transactions. Prepare collection reports for submission to supervisors. Count drop chips and reconcile against table totals.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts as well as every two hours to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
• Record and process dealer downs and process daily totals on an on-going basis.
• Maintain clean and orderly cashier areas.
• Monitor sales and redemption of chips as well as status of remote bank.
• Receive payment by cash. Verify that any checks received are from pre-approved guests.
• Process credit card cash advances.
• Verify that credit line withdrawals are from pre-approved guests and are within the pre-approved credit limits.
• Request information or assistance using paging systems including call-ins and tournament inquiries.
• Resolve customer complaints.
• Sort, count, and wrap currency and coins.

Possible addition duties

· Disinfecting Cage area, and chips as necessitated by sanitization plan.

· Other duties as deemed necessary by the GM or Directors.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent math skills

· Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word

· Customer Service

· Critical Thinking

· Flexibility

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED preferred.

· Prior experience should include a minimum of one-year high volume cash handling.

· Banking experience preferred; however, related cashiering and customer service background will be considered.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
