Job description

The Budtender provides exceptional customer service utilizing knowledge of cannabis strains and products to aid customers through the process of understanding, selecting and purchasing the appropriate product for their needs. Responsible for being one of the product experts on duty with the ability to share experiences to ensure customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchases. Maintains compliance with applicable rules and regulations as implemented by the State of Illinois and company.

Essential Functions:

• Follows established policies for sales and customer service which ensure customer satisfaction
• In-depth knowledge of every product and strain in the store
• Responsible for retail product knowledge so as to assist customers in making the right choices such as knowing how different means of cannabis consumption affect people differently
• Provides good practice for dosage starting points for inexperienced customers
• Maintains familiarity with suggested cannabis treatments for qualifying conditions in Illinois
• Responsible for completing any work assigned to them during their scheduled shift such as additional cleaning assignments
• Assists in verifying order deliveries for accuracy, security measures and safety compliance
• Maintains open communication with the management team and other coworkers
• Reports employee issues or patient situations to management
• Assists with shelving deliveries when needed
• Provides any necessary support to the management team to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations
• Strong cash handling skills and properly utilizing POS systems.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and consistent demonstration of excellent customer service skills
• Strong knowledge / passion for cannabis
• Extremely organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to resolve issues that arise in a professional and timely manner
• Knowledge and adherence to the policies, procedures and goals of the company
• Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences
• Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures

· Must pass all required background checks and state licensing process

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
