Summary/Objective:
The (Lending Services Operations Specialist I internal title) Cards Specialist I is a member of the Lending Operations Department and is responsible for servicing member needs. The role will collaborate with other team members and departments within Elevations regarding card processing and the completion of releases for Consumer, Commercial, and Small Business Loans.
Essential Functions include:
- Under supervision, primary function is to accurately complete all card maintenance requests for members.
- Receive and process member card transactions/maintenance including provisional credit, Visa advances, blocking cards, ordering/reordering cards and travel exclusions.
- Respond to force placed insurance inquiries, facilitate Letter of Guarantee requests, and assist with loan application document uploads
- Performs general problem solving using basic knowledge of loan types and processes
- Completes loan maintenance, modification/subordination requests and processes GAP claims/cancellations Verifies applicable loan documents to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Performs basic file maintenance on members' accounts on a regular basis. Research and resolve any discrepancies regarding members' card accounts.
- Ensures account accuracy, proper storage of member information and adheres to privacy standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Provides knowledgeable, accurate, professional and personalized service with a positive attitude to all members, internal and external.
- Remains flexible and supportive as department needs arise.
- Adheres to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations governing the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Required Education and Experience:
- Six months of similar or related experience and familiarity with card processing and consumer loan product features.
- Understands the basics of Visa and COOP FS Operating Rules and Regulations as it pertains to disputes and fraud.
- Familiarity and knowledge of general ledger reconciliations.
- Demonstrated analytical abilities, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Must have the ability to work effectively and efficiently under time constraints and deadlines
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal/written communication skills and maintain exemplary customer service when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive operations environment.
Work Environment:
Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smart phone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
