THE DAILY LIFE OF A CAREER COUNSELOR - EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST

As a new Career Counselor - Employment Specialist with our human services nonprofit, you get to be the superhero who builds strong, trusting relationships with program participants, and helps them discover their unique strengths, interests, and capabilities! Together, you create a game plan called a Family Contract Amendment (FCA) that outlines their short- and long-term employment goals. And guess what? You get to see their progress each month and make sure they're crushing it!

And here's the best part: you're always ready to jump in and help if they ever miss a scheduled appointment. You're their cheerleader, their advocate, and their go-to person for support. You even request extra services from external providers to make sure they have everything they need to succeed.

Plus, you're a master planner! You use data from our FedcapCARES program to map out daily and weekly tasks that align with each participant's individual needs. And you always stay professional, upholding policies and representing our nonprofit with pride.

WORK SCHEDULE

This entry-level position works a typical daytime schedule, Monday - Friday.

WHAT WE NEED IN A CAREER COUNSELOR - EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST

• Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience
• Demonstrated track record for providing exceptional customer service
• Valid driver's license
• Covid-19 vaccination
