Job description

I am hiring a caregiver/personal assistant for my father who is a quadriplegic. I am looking to fill 2 positions with hours available on days M-F and Days/Nights Sat and Sunday.

Duties to be performed:

• ︎ Follow a wound care program involving the application of creams and balms with daily bandage changes.

• ︎ Bathe and dressing

• ︎ Perform activities for personal waste management through changing of a urinary leg bag and digital stimulation bowel program

• ︎ Through the use of a hoyer lift put patient in wheelchair from bed or if evening shift from wheelchair into bed

• ︎ Cook and assist with daily meals

• ︎ Administer daily medications

• ︎ Throughout the course of the day assist principal with daily activities such as making phone calls, e-mails, paying bills and outings.

• ︎ Basic to intermediate familiriaty with the use of windows desktop computers

• ︎ Effectivly and timely communication with the employer (son) via text or phone inreguards to daily activities the results of important phone calls or medical appointments.

Requirements

• ︎ Highschool diploma or GED

• ︎ A valid driver's license

• ︎ Reliable transportation

• ︎ Flu and Covid 19 vaccinations

• ︎ Will submit to a background check if requested

Additional information

Employees will be W2 employees, paid on every two weeks via direct deposit.

Pay will be based on skills and availability in general employees will fall into one of the following categories

No prior expierence (18) - Has never or minimally worked in a home healthcare setting before.

Some expierence (20-23) - Has prior experience in home healthcare settings and meets some of the listed skills in the job description

Very expierenced (23-25) - Has most or all of the listed skills, has worked in home Healthcare before, is familiar or has work expierence with quadriplegics

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Northville, MI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Senior care: 1 year (Preferred)
• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
