Job description

We are looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide/Direct service worker to provide high quality assistance to individual clients with special needs or disability with daily living and personal care services in clients homes in accordance with an established care plan.

Location: Edina

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services in patients residences

• Perform light housekeeping

• Transport and accompany patients to outing on occasions and doctor appts

• Administer simple prescribed medications

• Assist with clients personal care activities

• Maintain patients care records and document provided services

• Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support

Skills

• Proven working experience as home health aide

• Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards

• Nursing and health care administration skills

• Caring and compassionate personality

• Current CPR certificate

• First Aid training

• Valid driver’s license

• High school degree

• Current local law background, level 2 background and fingerprints

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• On call
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

• Signing bonus

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
