Note: Anticipated Travel: 75-80% within the state of Florida - full company reimbursement

This position in our exciting commercial remodel team constructs, erects, installs and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood and wallboard, conforming to local building codes at our ABC Fine Wine and Spirit stores throughout the state of Florida!
Responsibilities
- Construct projects with specified building materials
- Shape materials to prescribed measurements
- Erect framework for structures consisting of light gauge metal or lumber
- Lay out and install partitions and cabinet work
- Fit and install prefabricated doors, door frames, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and finished hardware, such as locks and kick plates
- Hang/finish sheet rock
- Maintain ABC Fine Wine & Spirits standard of quality and rate of production.
- Comply with all ABCFWS and OSHA safety guidelines
- Maintain the proper tools of the trade in good working order
- Wear proper work attire including but not limited to work boots, hard hat, and safety glasses.
- Prepare project layout
- Other essential duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements
Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education
- At least 5 years in commercial remodeling experience, preferably in the retail industry
- Have a good working knowledge of both commercial and residential construction
- Carpentry skills commensurate with position
- Must be expert at reading plans and blueprints and can build accurately from the plans
Must be able to read sketches and build from shop drawings
- Valid Florida Driver's license required

- The physical demands of this role include, but are not limited to, bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 40 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision (at 20 inches or less), distance vision (at 20 feet or more), color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- In this role, the Carpenter will work in a variety of environments.
- Inside stores, the environment is usually temperature controlled. There may be some new store instances when the A/C is not yet set up, with varying temperatures
- Outside building projects will have a variety of weather conditions ranging from hot to cool, rainy, cloudy, windy, sunny, etc.
- The Carpenter will also spend time in a company-provided vehicle
Additional Benefits for Carpenter
Overtime will be provided at time and ½ rate; could be an additional 10 hours per week on average of overtime pay
- Allowance provided by company for meals and on road expenses
- $185/week food allowance is provided Monday-Friday
- Cellphone stipend provided
- Company provided van including carpentry equipment is provided
- Private hotel/motel room covered by company when traveling
- LD is paid for drive time as well as carpentry time
