Starting wages are from $23-30 an hour.
General Responsibilities
- Cut, shape and smooth the lumber and other material (i.e., fiberglass) according to measurements
- Construct, erect, install and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard
- Concrete form setting
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings
- Layout flooring, roofing, and/or drywall; to ensure they are level and compatible
- Build scaffolding and other construction structures
- And other responsibilities, as assigned
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
Requirements
- Understanding of carpentry techniques, methods of installation and general construction
- Follow safety guidelines
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Other duties as needed
- Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical
- Post Offer, Pre-Employment Drug Testing required
