TANF CASE MANAGER POSITION

HOURLY POSITION PART-TIME 6 HOURS DAILY (Maximum 30 hours per week) RATE: $17.00 PER HOUR

The TANF Case Manager is responsible for overseeing the TANF Program, and engaging customers in appropriate activities for the required number of hours starting at the point of initial contact Responsible for the following tasks and assignments. Duties include but are not limited to:

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop connections and resources within the community for customers.
• Maintain a provider work email for communications.
• Complete and maintain daily attendance records
• Maintain accurate and complete record keeping and files for all customers referred by IDHS
• Maintain group and individual meetings with customers.

Actual Job Responsibilities

• Develop employment resources
• Prepare Attendance forms for data entry
• Set-up quarterly job fairs with the community at AARCB.
• Complete training on IES system for back-up purposes.
• Complete and maintain daily attendance records
• Maintain group and individual meetings with customers.
• Develop community services providers for customers with written linkages.
• Develop connections and resources within the community for customers - Work force connections
• Complete daily case management notes of the progress of all TANF customers including recommendations regarding the appropriateness of the program for the customer.
• Complete assessment of work history and skills
• Ensure TANF Customer registration to Illinois WorkNet
• Ensure supportive services are provided to the TANF Customer.
• Assess the TANF Customer employment interests and goals
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must have a degree in Social Services or 3 years equivalent work experience.

Must enjoy working with adults and the community.

• Must be able to use the computer.
• Other duties as assigned
• Must pass a background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
