The Office of Child Welfare is seeking a Bilingual English/Spanish Receptionist (Office Specialist 2) to join our team in Hillsboro. In this role, you will provide clerical support to field staff, caseworkers, unit supervisors, resource parents, service producers, and the public. This is a great chance to learn about child protective services firsthand and work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. This position involves the option for some remote work depending on business needs.
Bilingual requirement (English/Spanish)
This position is bilingual and requires duties to be done in both English and Spanish. Job offer will be contingent upon passing test(s) evaluating your proficiency in the bilingual requirements of the position. This position will receive a 5% differential pay based on passing the required language test.

What you need to qualify
To be considered for an interview, you must submit all required documents and your application material must reflect that you meet the requirements.

Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
-
An associate degree in any field; OR
-
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Performing filing and preparation work surrounding court documents.

Sending placement emails containing pertinent information.

Doing clerical work such as collecting/mailing/scanning documents, compiling packets, and entering data.

Handling case openings, transfers, and closings, including ensuring that paperwork is completed in time.

Preparing and maintaining a desk manual.
-
Scheduling and attending meetings.
Working conditions:
The duties in this position include work with challenging and sometimes hostile clients; and continuous pressure to meet deadlines. Long periods of sitting at a computer terminal. As part of your job with Child Welfare you are expected to work competently within the agency's electronic information system (ORKids). Proficiency with Outlook email system and Microsoft programs are essential. You may be required to develop competencies in other software applications, depending on your job assignment.
