Because of our continued company growth, we’re looking for a Cash Accountant to join our Corporate office team in Vintage Park, Houston, TX!

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Cash Accountant will be a member of our 4-person Assets team focusing on revenue, cash reconciliation and fixed asset tracking, working directly with our operations and facilities teams. Day to day you will:

• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile revenue, cash receipts and bank deposits for multiple bank accounts and locations
• Coordinate with operations personnel to resolve questions and issues regarding revenue and cash transactions
• Train operations personnel in proper cash handling, purchasing and other administrative procedures
• Assist in Month-end closing process
• Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Maintain files and documentations thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience in corporate accounting; retail industry experience preferred
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• GL and Bank Account Reconciliation experience required
• Understanding of accrual-based accounting
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Proficiency with financial systems (Sage, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or other)
• Strong customer service & written and verbal communication skills - able to communicate effectively and work with suppliers and internal clients
• Able to multitask and resolve multiple inquiries in order of priority
• Capable of recognizing need for improvement/change and drive change when required
• Seeking a highly professional candidate with strong business ethics and integrity
• Must complete a pre-hire background check and driving history review
