El Pollo Guapo is growing! We are looking for cashiers/counter servers to join our team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged. We are currently looking for full and part time cashiers. We tip pool so potential to earn up to $21-23+ per hour. We will be the hottest new restaurant on James Island! No Late Nights (restaurant closes at 8 pm)

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

· Handle Cash and Credit Card transactions with customers

· Prepare food for service (portioning)

· Package food items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

· Answer, report and follow manager instructions

· Clean up station and take care of leftover food

· Stock inventory appropriately

· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

· Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

· Make cross-sells and up-sells when approproiate

· Maintain cleanliness level of dining area

· Resolve basic customer complaints and requests

Requirements

· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

· Basic knowledge of computers and software

· Strong Communication Skills

· Familiar with industry’s best practices

Physical Requirements

· Work may be fast paced and a high degree of quality and accuracy are required. Must

maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time

· Will be exposed to possible food allergens including but not limited to; meats, fish, nuts, dairy, and oils.

· Will be exposed and expected to properly use cleaning chemicals

· Lift up to 40lbs constantly

· Listen to and comprehend instructions from staff and customers over background restaurant and equipment noise constantly
