As Catering Sales Manager, you will be the primary liaison between the client and hotel operations, ensuring guest satisfaction through detailed and timely communication creating a memorable experience and lasting impression.

In this role you will be responsible for soliciting, promoting and generating catering revenue using proactive sales techniques in accordance with established Marriott hotel standards, oversee the hotels monthly catering groups, the detailing and servicing of sales groups with guestrooms, function space, food, and beverage. Host hotel tours, maintain strong customer relationships, participate, and may lead internal event meetings, client pre-convention meetings and hotel staff meetings

Primary sales efforts for this position are the upselling of banquet food, beverage, and meeting room rental, and includes menu planning, agenda setting, hotel onsite meeting services, hospitality amenities, and special VIP requests.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years’ experience in event sales as a catering sales manager or similar role
• Social event sales experience is a plus
• Prior knowledge of hotel sales and catering systems like Envision Sales Suite, Opera, Cvent, Sertifi is beneficial
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
• College degree or coursework in hospitality related field preferred
• Marriott brand experience is ideal
• Schedule flexibility
• Have excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently
