SUMMARY
The Appraiser position performs acts as an appraiser liaison and performs duties such as: researches/reviews origination, REO and Liquidation appraisals. Reviews mortgage loan files for accuracy and quality control; Accomplishes loss/mitigation loss claim appraisal review support and liquidation appraisal process support including writing procedures, policy review, flow charts, etc, and audit loan files. This position must possess knowledge of Rural Development SFH regulations and policies, and maintains appraiser certification, licensing and continuing education. REQUIRED: Certified Appraiser
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Serves and the Servicing Office SFH-G Appraiser liaison for staff and lending partners.
Reviews and researches mortgage loan files for accuracy and quality control. Reviews origination, REO and liquidation appraisals for quality and accuracy.
Makes recommendations for loss claim payment.
Provides technical expertise for loss mitigation and or loss claim appraisal review support.
Appraisal process support including writing procedures, policy review, process flow charts etc.
Audit loss claim files. Works with lender partners on appraisal questions and issues related to loss claim payments. Content Management, Workflow and Imaging.
Researches, analyzes and recommends software solutions for business process improvements.
Researches, analyzes and recommends automated solutions for capturing performance metrics.
Researches, analyzes and updates procedures and user instruction guides.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicable rules (federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) for themselves and the company as a whole. Fosters an environment in which they will report any violations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
REQUIRED: Certified Appraiser
Maintains appraiser certification, licensing and continuing education.
Must have ability to obtain a High-Risk Public Trust Clearance.
U.S. Citizen/ Green Card only due to government or federal requirement.
