Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Chief Engineer to join our team and provide maintenance and repair services to our facility. The Chief Engineer position is responsible for the following: maintaining the entire hotel facility, including the physical hotel structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment, in accordance with energy conservation and preventive maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of the guest areas to maintain an attractive hotel. Manage all rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance, and general upkeep of the facilityIdentify and troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems, and make necessary repairs
Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure the facility is in good working condition
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance and repair activities
Communicate effectively with other team members and management to ensure timely completion of tasks
Education and Qualifications:
- Five years’ experience as a journey mechanic or engineer with a class A hotel company or related industry.
- Two years’ experience as a head or assistant chief engineer in the same or similar environment.
Licenses and Certificates:
- Any licenses or permits that may be required by law or company regulations, such as an electrician’s license.
- Must be EPA certified in safe use and handling of refrigerants used at the property.
