Job Description

The Chief of Business Development has responsibility for all aspects of business development, including the growth of patient panel and market share; physician development and redirection; clinical program development; business planning, decision support, and analytics. Some of the duties of the Chief of Business Development are

• Understand and anticipate CareSouth Carolina customers' and market needs.
• Translate clinical and improvement knowledge into new products and programs.
• Maintaining and growing relationships with key areas of the organization: community development, operations, clinical, finance, human resources, and outside experts on program and proposal development.
• Develop & manage timelines for multiple projects.
• Responsible to help the organization meet annual strategic goals, revenue, and growth targets.
• Effecting a smooth transition to the teams that will execute new programs or projects.
• Gaining commitment from funding organizations, businesses, and other entities to participate in or fund new programs, establish new access points, and/or develop new lines of business.
• Protects the organization by keeping information confidential, including personal health information specific to individual patients necessary for analyzing and developing lines of business. Work strategically in ventures to expand the revenue generation and patient growth of the organization.

Education, Experience, and Skills

• An undergraduate degree is required and a graduate degree, ideally in Marketing or Business Development, is preferred
• Five to ten years experience in the field or related field required
• Healthcare management experience is strongly preferred
• The ideal fit would have knowledge/experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
• Skilled at executing strategy and problem-solving; asks the right questions, follows up and determines the facts, sets priorities based on business opportunity, and is able to direct the development of business plans and performance.
• Ability to build targeted sales and marketing lists, research in-depth business profiles on prospects and competitors, analyze market research, and identify new opportunities and prospects for financial growth.
• Strong project management skills and follow-through from vision to execution, with measurable results to the bottom line.
• Motivated to work cross-functionally in order to accomplish goals and effect change.
• Excellent at team building and motivating people. Team player, a good listener and consensus builder who truly values the input of others and their contributions, and positively responds to such input.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; a dedicated listener, comfortable in a variety of settings dealing with diverse constituencies; the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Computer skills, including a working knowledge of Adobe Graphics, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft Office software.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
