Do you have a passion for serving little ones? Then Living Word Child Development Center is the place for you! We are currently hiring Assistant Teachers. Experience preferred, but not necessary. We are able to train and provide you with the coursework to become certified.

Shifts consist of 4 10 hour days, with one day off per week. The role of the Assistant Teacher is to provide support to and assist the lead teacher run the classroom throughout the day. Responsibilities and expectations include:

• Assisting with lesson planning and help completing each days lessons including art, small and large motor activities, circle time, etc.
• Ensure the well-being and safety of each child by responding to their social, emotional, physical and educational needs
• Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities and play
• Help create and maintain an environment that is safe, clean and organized
• Assist children with daily activities such as serving snack, lunch and diapering/toileting
• Be nurturing, warm and compassionate
• Be costumer service orientated and professional
• Maintain open and positive communication with co-teachers and families at the center

Job Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of CPR/First Aid training within 30 days of hire
• Must be able to lift 15–40 lbs.
• Kind, caring and compassionate
• Excellent patience
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Dependable
• Ability to think creatively

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
