Since 1942, Clark Conservation District (Clark CD) has worked with individuals and communities to conserve and manage water quality, soils, and natural habitats for the benefit of the public. Clark CD provides technical, financial, and educational resources to meet the needs of the local landowner for the conservation of our resources. We are completely voluntary and non-regulatory and 100% grant-funded. Urbanizing Clark County has been particularly susceptible to losing farmland under social and economic pressures from housing, industry, and development. The Member will serve the communities by connecting farmers with resources to improve conservation practices on their land. Additionally, they will help connect urban residents to storm water programs. This year we are launching Poop Smart Clark, a community based social marketing program aimed to reduce bacteria in our stream.
