DLP Staffing is currently accepting applications for the position of:

- FLSA: Non-Exempt
- Hire Pay: DOE
- Classification: Full-Time/Temporary
JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will be responsible for loading goods from the warehouse into your truck, transporting the load to the client’s location, and unloading the shipment when you arrive. Our drivers must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when talking with our customers. We prefer candidates who have at least six months of truck driving experience and who know how to perform routine maintenance on trucks.
JOB SUMMARY:

- Pick up cargo at one of our local distribution centers,
- Log all inventory and deliver goods to clients throughout the metropolitan area.
- Update all delivery information in our computerized system using a handheld device.
- Load and unload goods from the truck, assist clients in locating the delivery to the appropriate area,
- Perform routine maintenance on your vehicle and log any damage or repair needs.
- Must have a Class B CDL. Apart from that requirement, we prefer candidates with professional driving and delivery experience, excellent customer service skills, and a professional demeanor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Class B CDL
- Prior driving and delivery experience
- Mechanical ability and experience with large vehicle maintenance
- Excellent customer service and driving skills
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
- Receives supervision from the building manager.
- The position has formally assigned supervisory responsibility and authority.
- Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and outdoor environment, with high equipment noise.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP Staffing has a Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
