Job Summary


The Purdue University Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic innovator to help lead our client services division. This person will oversee all aspects of the client experience in our hospital system. With our recent hospital expansion and an every growing caseload, providing client-centered options for the health of their animals is a high priority, and this position is lead the effort. This position is responsible for the management and oversight of the Hospital’s Division of Client Services. The ideal candidate will directly supervise managers overseeing all aspects of the hospital reception & registration services, client liaison services, medical records, revenue cycle services, client help desk, and veterinary social work.


As a member of hospital administration this individual develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures for the day-to-day operations of all client facing activities. Responsibilities include patient intake, processing, communication, data entry, payment for all patient visits/services, medical record retention and release, bill auditing, payment collections, and veterinary social services.


The Client Services Manager will be responsible for developing/conducting ongoing training for all team members to maintain high level customer service and improve the client experience by providing support to all positions under direct supervision 24/7/365. This includes serving as a resource by providing input to various other areas of the Purdue Vet Hospital (PVH) including IT and the business office. At times this involves serving on hospital/college committees as needed.


The Reception and Referring DVM communication areas are critical to the efficient and organized functioning of the Veterinary Hospital. As the initial interaction with hospital clients, the PVH Help Desk is also the first point of communication with referring veterinarians (RDVMs). Considering this, medical Records, bill auditing, and social work all play critical roles in the ongoing relationship and experience with clients and outside organizations.


A negative experience at any of these points risks hospital caseload, organizational reputation, learning for students and potentially fiscal stability. The director is responsible for sustaining and improving the experience with all who interact with the PVH.


Required:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, human resources, or closely related field required.
  • Medical office management courses desired.
  • Four years of total experience required, two years of customer service and hospital or medical office management experience required. Supervisory experience required.
  • A combination of education and directly related experience will also be considered.
