Job Summary: The clinic Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for patient care activities as directed by the Physician, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner.
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Responsibilities: He/she is able to implement and evaluate patient care specific to the age of the patient population served from newborn to geriatrics. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit’s standards of care. He/she demonstrates a performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing system; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. Clinical procedures shall include phlebotomy, performing EKG’s, urinalysis, injections, and taking and recording patient vital signs.
This position’s home base will be at the Memorial Medical Clinic in Bowen.
