Digestive Care Center is looking for a Clinical Nursing Coordinator to coordinate clinical support to clinicians and patients. Scheduling and other support duties in the clinic setting. Provide infusion center support as needed.

What You Need for this Position:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• RN Indiana Licensure required

What You Will Be Doing:

• Accepts all phone calls from patients, ancillary providers and hospitals including prep calls, medication questions, symptoms, clinical questions, progress reports and more. Redirects calls if appropriate.
• Provides lab and radiology departments with diagnosis and ICD-10 codes.
• Provides patients with X-ray, test and lab work results as directed by providers.
• Follows call management protocol and other protocols developed by physicians and staff appropriately.
• Efficiently schedules patient X-rays, MRI’s, CT scans, Manometry, 24-hour PH, Paracentesis, Liver biopsies, lab work & tests as ordered by providers.
• Schedules patients in appropriate facility in order for patient to receive maximum insurance coverage and reimbursement.
• Coordinates scheduling of procedures with scheduling department.
• Completes referrals to physicians & ancillary providers for consults and follow up.
• Calls in prescriptions (new and refills) including paperwork required for processing.
• Places recalls in gMed from hospital face sheets.
• Provides patients with patient education materials and medication samples as directed by physician and nurse practitioner.
• Renews labs orders.
• Collect patient history and medication reconciliation, and complete data entry.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies and medication samples.
• Obtain vital signs, administer injections and in office testing.
