The Clinical NICU Nursing Manager will play a central role in leading a department that’s core to this 300+ bed hospital’s identity and community mission.

The NICU Nursing Manager will directly report to the Director of NICU, with a dotted line to the Administrative Director of Women’s and Children’s Services. Supported by four RNC-NIC Certified Neonatal ICU Nurse Supervisors, as well as seven talented and experienced NICU Charge Nurses, the incoming Manager will receive the resources and support they need to make a difference in these patients' lives. Additional support will come from an amazing team of NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. Certified Registered Nurses.

The Clinical Nursing Manager will lead a high-acuity NICU, with over 40-beds that sees over 500 admissions annually. This leader will oversee clinical and administrative operations for around 200 employees, and will work closely with one of the area’s top teams of Neonatal Physicians who are staffed around the clock. This person will have the opportunity to bring experience and knowledge to lead this unit and provide exceptional care!

The NICU Nursing Manager will lead a large, busy department, and will oversee a wide range of clinical and administrative duties including:

• Working with Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Specialists to develop and implement innovative educational and growth opportunities for the staff
• Mentoring clinical RNs, leading skills development and competency evaluations
• Overseeing budgeting and performance improvement initiatives for the NICU Department
• Spearheading relations between the nursing staff and physicians, administrators, and other departments
