OneCBT is a division of RICBT, the leading CBT-specialty practice in Rhode Island. We are a psychotherapy and coaching practice specializing in evidence-based, cognitive behavioral approaches. We have over sixty psychologists, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists practicing in five locations (East Providence, Barrington, Warwick, and North Kingstown in Rhode Island and in New Haven, CT) and serving a wide geographic area. Job Summary
As a clinical psychologist at OneCBT, you can make meaningful and measurable differences in people’s lives. You give patients incredible support and teach them proven strategies to reduce emotional distress. You help them thrive at work, in school, or with their friends and family. You focus on providing individual, couples, family, or group treatment and on building transformative therapeutic alliances. You are there for patients when they are most symptomatic and you support them through many different phases of life - much like a primary care doctor does. OneCBT surrounds you with incredible colleagues who practice from an academic perspective - incorporating the best of the scientific literature when determining how to help patients. Your colleagues speak in a clear and empathic way about mental health issues and try to go the extra mile for patients. You can add your expertise to our mix and contribute to the programs we offer to help children, teens, and adults with many different behavioral health conditions. Maybe you are skilled in CBT for phobias or experienced in teaching DBT to teens. Maybe you are fascinated by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or use Gottman or Emotionally Focused techniques in your work with couples. Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct outpatient psychotherapy
- Contribute to or develop group-based treatment programs
- Collaborate with colleagues treating different members of a family
- Represent the practice in community presentations and lectures
- Coordinate care with external providers
- Continue to expand your ability to educate and treat a wide range of patients
- Participate in enriching the training experience of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows here
Qualifications and Skills
- Licensed as a psychologist (PhD or PsyD)
- Expertise with children, teens, or adults
- High demand areas include:

- Family or couple distress
- Primary care integration
- Experience with group therapy or collaborating with primary care physicians is a plus
