Cowell Homeowners Association in Concord is looking to hire a clubhouse staff member help us look after the HOA clubhouse and common areas! This will primarily be an evening job, and we are looking for someone with availability Weds through Sunday (these days might expand later this year). Position will be about 20hrs/week on average. Shifts are 12pm to 8pm, Weds thru Sunday.

Preferred weekday hours:

  • 12pm to 8pm

Preferred weekend hours:

  • 12pm to late evening (fluctuates a little depending on reservations for the clubhouse - potential for overtime opportunities if desired!)

For now, we expect this position to offer about ~16-24 hours a week with potential for additional hours or overtime if there is a clubhouse reservation and you want to work the extended shift (rather than have another staff member provide coverage).

This would be a good job for somebody with retail or front-facing customer service experience. You will be the “first impression” for residents and homeowners in the community, so all the usual customer service stuff is a basic requirement – good, professional attitude, empathy and understanding, well-spoken in public, etc. You know the drill : )

  • You’ll have just one manager, the GM, so hopefully things won’t feel really “corporate”. This is a small organization and you will have a lot of say in how things go day-to-day!

The HOA has lots of common area facilities like pools, tennis courts, and a clubhouse, and is run by the Board and the General Manager. This employee will be the General Manager’s go-to on-site assistant, and will help make sure things are running smoothly!

Part of the job will be staffing the HOA clubhouse during business hours, which is open to residents and has pool tables, ping pong, and is also available to rent for parties. The other part of the job will be helping the General Manager for anything that might come up in the common areas, like responding to reports from homeowners for things like maintenance or rule breaking, making sure facilities like the pools are working properly, and just generally assisting with on-site issues as they arise. The HOA has about a mile of beautiful pathways and landscaping, so a good chunk of your time can be spent outdoors walking or riding your bike around!
