Location: Onsite, Everett, WA

Base pay: $25 - $32/hr DOE

Shift: Day and Swing Available

We are partnering with a very busy and thriving aerospace manufacturing company in Everett, WA that is seeking to hire a Machinist II.

You will contribute to the production of airplane high lift systems – the wings of the plane that help it take off and land.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

• Starts and observes machine operation on machines such as mills, lathes, jig bores, grinders, & shapers. Works with lead and trainer for setup requirements.

• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.

• Identifies continuous improvement projects for cost, quality, and lead-time improvements, and communicate to leadership as applicable.

• Seeks out opportunities to learn about all areas of the shop floor and enthusiastically pursues ongoing self-development in leadership and technical skills that will enhance and continually improve products, processes, and people with a Focus on the Customer.

• Identifies & escalates issues to lead and/or trainer for timely resolution, including malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.

• Novice knowledge of and ability to operate the following machines:

• PRS Cell Machine

• Mazak DT Lathe

• Tool Crib

• Tool Room Bridgeport Mill

What you’ll bring:

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or completion of manufacturing-related vocational training with 3 – 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to use caliper, micrometer, and depth gauge.
• Knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Email
