Job Summary:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Community Relations Assistant. The successful candidate will:
- Drive patient engagement to ensure that practice patients are educated and aware of services.
- Support the practice staff with implementation of the program.
- Perform screening and assessment.
- Collaborate with other Community Relations Assistants (Community Health Workers) to ensure proper implementation and adherence to institutional practices and procedures.
- Meet regularly with Brooklyn Perinatal Network (BPN) staff, to ensure a closed-loop and efficient implementation.
- Assist with maintaining files and databases.
- Perform, where appropriate, outreach to educate and inform others of the program.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of applicable/equivalent experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communicator with a willingness to learn and collaborate with others.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday; 9:00am to 5:00pm

Commensurate with experience and qualifications
