Position Summary:
The Compensation Consultant is the first point of contact for all pay and compensation inquiries. The Compensation Consultant will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure the company is competitive in the areas of salaries and employee benefits. This position is responsible for calculating and analyzing all incentive programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
  • Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.
  • Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
  • Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Analyze compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive compensation plan.
  • Prepare detailed job descriptions and classification systems and define job levels and families, in partnership with other managers.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive compensation framework for HR business partners, to provide guidance and support on all compensation related matters (Salary Administration, Benchmarking, Short-term and Long-Term program management) stakeholders across the company.
  • Lead year end Salary and Bonus Planning including creating summary/roll-up reporting for quarterly/annual accrual and reviews
  • Point of contact for all internal and external benchmarking for any new additions, evolving roles and developing programs to strengthen workplace culture and retention efforts
  • Educate management and HR teams as needed on FLSA, Pay Equity and other employment and compliance matters as necessary
  • Prepare statistical analysis, data modeling and costing analyses necessary to evolve or maintain programs’ edge and relevancy
  • Calculate quarterly & yearly incentive payments
  • Analyze incentive data to ensure competitive & equitable programs
