JOB SUMMARY

A-Lert Roof Systems is looking for an experienced roofer to assist with installing and completing a standing seam metal roof system in Whiteman AFB, MO. This security-sensitive position requires all candidates to pass a security check for base access and a pre-employment drug test.

A-Lert Roofing Systems, a division of Centurion Industries, Inc. specializes in the installation of both onsite and factory manufactured standing seam metal roofs. A-Lert Roof Systems sells primarily to customers in the educational, institutional, military, and governmental sectors. A-Lert provides the unique concept of supplying and installing red iron steel framing and standing seam metal roofs with a single source responsibility, making it one of the very few turnkey retrofit roofing companies in the United States.

WAGE AND COMPENSATION

This position is currently a temporary role (3 months) with an option to offer permanent status at the completion of the job. (See permanent employment below for post-job offer contingencies)

The wage rate for this position is set by the Davis-Bacon Act, prevailing wage rates for federal construction contract work. The wage rate for this position is currently set at approximately$70.00 / hour.

REQUIREMENTS

Due to the complex scope of work, applicants must meet the following standards for consideration:

· Favorable background that will clear a federal background check and grant candidate access to a military installation.

· 5 or more years of construction experience, preferably in roofing.

· 5 or more years of experience setting wood or metal framing.

· 5 or more years of experience using various hand and power tools with required personal protection equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to:

o Angle grinder

o Impact drill

o Tape measure

o Levels

o Plum lines

o Caulking guns

o Hammer

o And other miscellaneous tools.

· OSHA-10

· Valid driver license

· Physical ability to work at heights, on steeper slopes, in various weather conditions, and wear a personal fall protection system.

· 2 or more years of experience operating articulating boom lifts and/or aerial lifts.

· Ability to read or understand drawings and blueprints when required.

· Pass a pre-employment drug test and abide by the zero-tolerance policy during employment.

JOB DUTIES

· Assist job Foreman in their daily tasks and duties to help complete jobs on time and within budget.

· Measure, cut, bend, set, screw down, tighten, and connect material and other components during various stages of the completion process.

· Utilize tools such as Tape Measure, Impact Drills, Aviation Snips, Ropes, Safety Anchors, Lanyards, Rivet Drivers, Hand seamers, Mechanical seamers, and other basic construction tools to accomplish each project.

· Lay Metal Panels across Red Iron (Red Oxide) metal framing by connecting clips.

· Measure, cut, set, and anchor framing at various heights and distances to ensure structural integrity in accordance with Engineering design and Blue Prints (CAD Drawings)

· Ensure work is being done efficiently with a safety first mentality.

· Keep work areas and job sites as clean and orderly as possible to prevent injuries, fatalities, or other safety related incidents.

· Look and perform professionally at all times

· Communicate well with Foreman, Site Superintendent and others you may come into contact with on the job site.

PERMANENT JOB OFFER

Upon completion of this project, A-Lert Roof Systems may extend an offer of permanent employment at a lower wage. The employee does reserve the right to decline the offer and at which time employment with A-Lert Roof Systems will be terminated.

If a permanent employment offer is given by A-Lert Roof Systems and accepted by the employee, all previous employment time will be granted to offer benefit enrollment into the Centurion benefits program.
