Florida Palm Construction (FPC) is a local, South Florida based construction company. Established in 2014, Florida Palm launched as a start-up company, and has grown dynamically since then. FPC has projects that range from $50,000 to $10M, and range across Commercial, Government, and Specialty Residential Sectors.

Job Overview:

Florida Palm Construction is looking for an skilled Construction Superintendent to supervise the on-site activities and progress of construction projects.

The Superintendent will organize and oversee all onsite construction and ensure phases of the project are completed in a timely and efficient manner working closely with the Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and our Government/Commercial Clients. The Superintendent must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate with teams of professionals of different disciplines to achieve quality results.

Responsibilities for Superintendent:

• As the manager of the site, the Superintendent will be responsible for managing subcontractors, and other vendors that come on/off site. This includes holding our internal team responsible for their daily tasks and responsibilities for job progression.
• Attending Operation Team Meetings: Come with an open dialogue and honest opinions to discuss and work through issues.

• The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that the job gets completed according to the schedule set forth by the Project Manager. Schedules should be reviewed at the beginning of the job and agreed upon by the Superintendent, and set at that point in time in Knowify.

• The Superintendent is responsible for managing subcontractor schedules: letting subcontractors know when they need to complete the work, the time they have to complete the work in, and hold subcontractors accountable to complete their work on time.
• The Superintendent is responsible for Quality Controlling the subcontractors work, ensuring that it is up to code, accepted by the client, and done correctly.
• The Superintendent is responsible for approving worked done by subcontractor on a weekly basis. They should ensure that the work that is being billed is completed, and that we bill the customer for the appropriate amounts based on subcontractor completion.

• The Superintendent is responsible for all project inspections by the city: ensuring the work is done to code, that any changes needed are communicated via email to the PM, and that all inspections that are required are scheduled and completed.
• The Superintendent is responsible for submitting regular job updates to the Project Manager/Assistant Project weekly on Fridays

• The Superintendent is responsible for the safety of their jobs. Superintendent will ensure OSHA regulations are being followed at all times, and taking proper precautions as needed with PPE and tool safety.

• The Superintendent is responsible for regular reporting to the Project Manager of customer, employees, subcontractor, and all job-related issues.
• The Superintendent is responsible for uploading photos daily of all jobs to Company Cam for proper documenting and job accountability.
• Conveying immediate issues or changes to the contract via email to the PM.
