OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead will be responsible for enabling a culture of lean methodology by developing, standardizing, and implementing initiatives that directly impact key performance indicators (SQDCI) and strategic business objectives. As a core part of the site leadership team, the CI Lead will work collaboratively with all site functions to align goals and work towards achieving them. This role will also collaborate with other sites and corporate manufacturing and operational excellence leaders to drive continuous improvement initiatives. By developing cross-functional partnerships, the CI Lead will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

THE POSITION:

• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the organization to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, costs, and inventory.
• Coordinate and track site strategy deployment activities and initiatives to support meeting Annual Improvement Priorities (AIPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) specific to safety, quality, delivery, costs, and inventory.
• Drive Lean processes such as Standard Work, 5S+, Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving (A3/8D), and Kaizen Principles to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
• Work with site leadership to identify and standardize core business processes and operational plans to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
• Develop and manage a continuous improvement project funnel, acting as project manager and leading cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
• Coach and educate team members by creating and facilitating lean daily/weekly/monthly activities while leveraging visual management techniques and learning development programs to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING:

• 4-year degree in an associated field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and demonstrated success in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma or Lean Certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract data, analyze it, convert it into usable information, identify trends, and draw actionable insights.
• Superior project management and time management skills, with the ability to plan and organize multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables, as well as hold others accountable.
• Ability to coach others through problem-solving methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize work, pay attention to detail, recognize when urgency is required, and use good judgment in varied situations.
