We are a private real estate investment firm headquartered in Midtown Manhattan focusing on commercial real estate with a portfolio containing more than 100 buildings

We are looking for an experienced Property Controller to join our team. The Property Controller will be responsible for all aspects of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and property reporting and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a background in property accounting with knowledge of MRI or Yardi, as well as excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.The successful candidate will be able to work independently, adapt to new procedures, apply learned skills to different situations, demonstrate initiative and respond to requests quickly.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of financial reporting process for assigned properties, including preparing financial statements, cash flow projections, and variance analysis
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process
• Prepare detailed year-end work paper packages in connection with tax reporting
• Prepare lender and partner reports as required by agreements
• Review all accounts payable invoices for proper classification in the general ledger
• Ensure all debt, property taxes, and owner distribution payments are made in a timely manner
• Adhere to tax compliance rules, including sales and occupancy taxes, annual registration and property I&E filings
• Closely monitor accounts receivable to determine developing tenant problems
• Prepare tax and CAM reconciliations
• Verify accuracy of rent roll information, review lease abstracts and tenant charges
• Provide guidance on financial matters to other departments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
