Job description

An established, multi-billion dollar manufacturing company in the Greater Battle Creek, MI area is actively seeking a Controls Engineer for their growing group engineering group. This position is open due to the continued growth and expansion of our client's facility.

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Provide key input into the development of departmental strategic goals along with identifying key measurable to support the departmental goals.
• Maintain PLC based control systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation.
• Program PLC ladder logic (Allen Bradley)
• Lead projects and assist skilled trades in electrical disciplines.
• Support operations in electrical/controls troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
• Work closely with engineering team to define system control needs.
• Assist corporate controls in engineering changes and new programs.
• Guides design, develops and tests electrical control methods, materials, processes and results.
• Champion assigned engineering changes communicate and coordinate accordingly to all

Job Skills and Experience Requirements

• Bachelors Degree
• Knowledge of PLC programming, AllenBradley/Rockwell Logix products
• Experience in programming, installation, startup, and debug of integrated robotic production systems.
• Proficient in reading, interpreting and editing electrical schematics and diagrams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
