Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Graduate Medical Education Program Coordinator you will be responsible for the operational and financial management of the residency/fellowship training program and support for the Program Director and Residents. This position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of ACGME or other national accreditation policies and hospital policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. In this role you will:
- Be responsible for assisting the Program Director in the overall day-to-day operations of the Program.
- Be responsible for the organization of the recruitment, interview, and match process for the Program.
- Understand Program Accreditation and assist in ensuring the Residency fulfills all appropriate requirements.
- Ensure completion of all appropriate resident documentation.
- Coordinate the Residency/Fellowship orientation programs.
- Coordinate the learner educational experience.
- Be responsible for continuing professional development.
- Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills, and maintains appropriate interpersonal relationships.
- Be accountable for assigned educational activities or initiatives associated with program development and/or innovation.
- Develop, promote, and provide education symposia for physicians. Conduct needs assessment for target audience.
- Document offering appropriately to meet criteria for obtaining continuing education credits for participants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum 3-5 years of experience in either a healthcare setting (preferably in Graduate Medical Education i.e. Residency Coordinator) or in some field of education (i.e. teacher/educator) preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to make decisions independently or to escalate issues as needed.
- Ability to efficiently and accurately manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region. We serve southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. Our facility has an ER, a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. We have the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. Our 74-bed Behavioral Health Center offers inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults.
