The leader of Well-Being & Rewards leads the Compensation and Benefits teams and ensures employee offerings remain competitive and attractive. This role ensures that rewards and recognition programs align with performance, champions a culture of wellness across the firm, and leads benefit program design to effectively to boost the employee value proposition.
Job Responsibilities
- Sets firm total rewards strategy, defining RSM’s compensation philosophy and approach to pay, benefits, and well-being
- Assesses the competitive position of RSM’s compensation, recognition, benefits, insurance, and retirement programs, leveraging external benchmarks and analyzing internal and external equity. Recommends changes as appropriate
- Oversees policy design of RSM’s benefits programs for employees, including retirement plans, medical benefits, disability coverage, leave, salary advances, etc. Communicates with benefits providers as needed
- Champions collaboration and designs linking mechanisms between Well-Being & Rewards and other parts of the Talent organization (e.g. Talent Operations), ensuring rewards programs and policies align with the organization’s talent framework, and certifying rewards programs accurately reflect role responsibilities, competency models, performance, and development strategies
- Drafts and develops, in conjunction with other stakeholders, pay transparency strategy, in accordance with local regulations and broader long-term organizational goals
- Develops and activates the RSM brand promise through meaningful programming and communication
- Champions wellness across RSM, designing programs aimed to boost overall employee well-being and communicating RSM’s wellness philosophy
- Determines meaningful KPIs to assess plan finances, resolving complex vendor issues and designing cost effective benefits
- Drives accountability, ensuring unit KPIs are met, managing project timelines and resource allocation, training team on proper Well-Being & Rewards policies and procedures, and driving team innovation and performance
- Develops Well-Being & Rewards policies and procedures, determining appropriate protocols that promote competitiveness, equity, and alignment to firm goals
- Experience/understanding of payroll practices and ability to communicate effectively with leaders of payroll, finance and other COE’s.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree typically required in related field of study
- Master’s degree preferred in related field of study.
- 15+ years of experience in total reward and previous Supervisory experience leading a Team of Strategic Professionals.
