Arcadis seeks a (Cost Accountant) to join our Downtown Los Angeles, CA team. This position is onsite with High-Profile client but may allow some remote working hours.

Role description:

As a (Cost Accountant), your role will be the Cost/General Accountant for a high-profile Program. This role also requires general accounting experience in a variety of industries.

Role accountabilities:

• Manage the project accounting activities on a large complex project.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for the project teams and monitors adherence and compliance.
• Work with project management staff to review and update budgets, perform monthly reporting.
• Analyze projects to ensure that project funding is adequate
• Perform cost reporting as necessary.
• General project accounting cost reconciliation.
• Produces cost-related products such as budget/actual variance reports, cost and commitment ledgers.
• Ensure compliance with all processes and procedures.
• Conduct project and program-level budget and cost analyses.
• Analyze controls data and present findings/recommendation Project Manager.
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy in preparation of all project-level Cost reporting.
• Maintain appropriate internal control safeguards to ensure consistent reporting of accurate information

Key Attributes:

• Basic Accounting experience. (Construction experience preferred)
• Proven analytical skills in accounting discipline.
• Able to work independently including trouble shooting and reporting results.
• Understand basic accounting principles and processes
• Basic accounting software experience
• Ability to present results of cost analyses to Project Manager.
• Excellent, professional, written, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience related to Cost or/and accounting general practice

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS/BA Degree in Finance or Accounting
• MBA Degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,808.60 - $113,880.01 per year
