I'm looking for an Early Education and Care Lead Preschool Teacher who can run a classroom. The children in the group are ages 2.3 -3.3 years mixed age group. I'm looking for a teacher that knows EEC rules and regulations and NEAYC. I'm looking for someone reliable, responsible, fun, creative, and ready to lead.

This is a very fun environment that likes routines, structured play, age-appropriate academics, potty training, and lots of redirection. We love teachers that can think out the box for curriculum, loves to give hugs and kisses to the children, that's experienced and ready to teach teach teach!!!!! Must be creative and willing to join a family-like team. We would love a teacher with Lots & Lots of experience with toddlers, preschool, EEC,& NEAYC. Must hold an AA/BA degree in early education and be EEC-certified.

*Responsibilities and Duties Of the Toddler/Preschool Teacher

• Plan both long and short activities in accordance with curriculum objectives developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy.
• Meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child
• Encourage assistants to contribute to curriculum planning
• Coordinate field trips
• Prepare monthly planning charts
• Complete bi-annual assessment of children's development
• Report progress of children to parents in bi-annual reports and through parent-teacher conferences
• Maintain daily open communication with parents
• Keep accident reports
• Maintain anecdotal records
• Maintain confidentiality
• Report any suspect abuse to the supervisor
• Arrange a classroom environment in accordance with program goals and philosophy
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
• Attend in-service and staff meetings
• Supervise assistants, aides, and volunteers in the classroom
• Keep all appropriate records such as records, attendance, and timesheets
• Meet all applicable licensing regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Jamaica Plain, MA 02130: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
