OnPoint is looking for energetic, collaborative, and skilled masters level clinicians to join our Crisis team. The Crisis Team provides crisis intervention services to the Allegan County community.
SALARY/BENEFIT PACKAGE:
Salary base: $64,874 - $85,149 annually

POSITIONS TO BE FILLED:

  • Two full time positions – Opportunity for flexible work hours as some positions need to be concentrated in afternoon and early evening hours.

FLEXIBLE WORK CONDITIONS: **

  • Work at home, in the community, and in the office.
  • Telehealth Options as allowed by funding and regulatory sources
  • May involve some evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Psychologist, (LLP or LP), Counselor (LPC or LLPC), or Social Worker (LMSW or LLMSW), with State of Michigan license. General working knowledge of psychopathology, psycho-diagnosis, psychotherapeutic intervention of children and adolescents.
  • At least 1 year of experience with people diagnosed with mental illness, intellectual disabilities and/or substance use disorders.
  • At least 1 year of experience and/or collaboration with children with severe emotional disturbance.
  • Experience in providing crisis intervention services preferred but not required.
  • Professional and/or lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities are valued.
  • Must be a strong advocate of self-determination and a person first philosophy.
  • Must be able to be empathetic to individuals with a wide variety of mental health and substance use challenges.
  • General working knowledge of mental health care and treatment, medications, and case management.
  • Valid Michigan’s driver’s license, and insured, operating vehicle required and a good driving record.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency consultation services including crisis walk-in counseling and answering crisis phone calls.
  • Provide face-to-face crisis intervention services as part of the crisis and mobile crisis team. Facilitate hospitalization if necessary.
  • Conduct care coordination activities for clients needing a facility placement.
  • Complete and process intake applications. Determine intake eligibility for clients requesting services and direct the general public towards appropriate mental health resources.
  • Participate in coordinating clinical services for applicants.
  • Provide after-hours mobile crisis coverage to include nights and weekends. On-call shifts are a shared rotation across the Crisis team. Two staff per mobile crisis shift.
  • Provide opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illness or co-occurring substance abuse to experience full community participation in work, recreational, residential, and social settings.
