Catholic Medical Center is located on the west side of Manchester, New Hampshire. The team is a diverse group of practitioners, ranging from new grads to those in practice for 25+ years. New Hampshire is considered one of the best practice states, and all practitioners are encouraged to practice to the full extent of their license. Working with students is available if desired. Catholic Medical Center is Level 3 community hospital with a high acuity level. While Manchester is a small community, practitioners handle challenging cases that reflect the health needs of the community (Named within the 50 best cardiac groups in the nation). Manchester is conveniently located, being 45-minutes from the larger metro area (Boston), beaches, and mountains. It is considered a great place for community and family living. There is no state income tax or sales tax. At Catholic Medical Center, you will find a team-oriented and strong collegial culture.

Awards

Case Assignments

General surgery, joint/spine, vascular, cardiac/thoracic, endoscopy, EP, urology. No ophthalmology or chronic pain. Limited plastics and radiology.

Shifts

Current open shifts are 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts. There is a call team of CRNAs that are responsible for covering all nights and weekends.

Shift Differentials:

  • Shift 1: Daytime work: $110.58/hour base
  • Shift 2: All non-OT shifts: Monday-Thursday 7p-7a: $150/hour
  • Shift 3: All non-OT shifts Saturday-Sunday: $160/hour
  • Shift 4: All non-OT shifts: Friday-Sunday 7p-7a Monday: $175/hour

Team Highlights

CRNAs work in a care-team model and work to the top of their license. Those with proper skills are encouraged to do their own peripheral nerve blocks, regional anesthesia, and participate in OB/cardiac cases, though not required. There are both OB and Cardiac teams that are staffed by experienced CRNAs, entry to these teams is not always available.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

  • Current license as a registered professional nurse
  • Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
  • Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
