Job Summary:

As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of commercial, municipal, or industrial sites. You will perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees, clients, and visitors. If in a lead capacity, you will also provide direction and quality inspections to ensure adherence to account manager/supervisor instructions and recommend disciplinary actions if necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dust furniture and equipment.
• Polish metalwork.
• Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
• Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenish bathroom supplies.
• Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
• Additional responsibilities and duties as required. May vary depending on the nature of the site and the obligations of the client.

Essential Qualifications:

• Custodial experience is a plus.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Must pass pre-screening site-specific exams and training materials.
• Must pass a background check.

Working Conditions:

• Work schedules may vary depending on the facility's needs, and may include weekends and holidays.
• May require exposure to cleaning chemicals and other hazardous materials.
• May involve working in confined spaces or at heights.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform tasks that require reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
• Site may require extensive stair climbing.
