Customer Service Representative/Production Planner
Job description
This position will be a hybrid position of both Customer Service and Production Planning duties. Production Planning duties are expected to be a few hours a day, the remainder of this position will be in the Customer Service functionality.
To assist customers with issues relating to production, material and scheduling, and other functions needing assistance.
Coordingating full Work Order Process including creation of work orders, recording production, cycle counting and investigating any discrepancies, and closing work orders.
Also will assist with daily ordering of production and office supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates EDI and enters Manual Orders in ABAS
- Reviews and orders materials for production and sample material
- Creates weekly production schedule based on customer demands in ERP System
- Prepares documents for shipments to customers and vendors
- Creates shipment plan for customers and vendors
- Supports the floor and front office with ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counting and annual inventory.
- Tracking of material flow (vendors)
- Coordinates resolution of customer related issues
- Creation of orders to suppliers
- Completes customer specific reports and documents
- Ensures timely shipments to meet customer’s demands
- Security that data and customer information are treated confidentially
- Optimization of Max Panda, Spare Parts, and ABAS systems
- Project reporting to customers and all in-house departments
- Working towards the defined quality goals
- Responsible for compliance and observation of all applicable statutory provisions in intra-company policies
- Complies with and implements workplace protection/accident prevention and safety provision requirements
- Commissioned to solve tasks based on instructions given by and in the name of the company
- Projects the confidentiality, safeguards the non-disclosure of data and customer information
- Responsible for order, cleanliness, and workplace safety
- Ensures the efficient use of raw materials, additives, and operating resources, resulting in a small environmental footprint
- CIP: Optimization and further development of processes and workflows
- Self-accountable taking of action and approach to work
- Diligent handling of all operating resources
- All other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- At least two years of relevant experience in customer service
- Experience in manufacturing/logistics is preferred
- Skilled with computers, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task as needed
- Ability to promptly handle change positively and proactively
