Position Overview:
The Customer Service Representative will provide superior service to incoming and outgoing Drivers delivering/picking up product while processing all necessary paperwork with excellence. The regular work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.


Critical Success Criteria:

  • Acts as point of contact for incoming and outgoing drivers delivering or picking up product and delivers superior customer service.
  • Coordinates with freight carriers, customers, suppliers and other GR departments to ensure smooth and accurate shipping and receiving schedules; processes and transactions.
  • Ensures safe and accurate shipment of hazardous materials to include manifests, weights, type.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with freight carriers, customers, and suppliers to manage shipping and receiving schedules, processes, and transactions
  • Collaborate with many other departments to coordinate flow of truck traffic and order requirements
  • Manage Hazardous Material manifests and other sensitive documents
  • Weigh incoming/outgoing trucks; complete paperwork for shipping & receiving departments and enter into system
  • General front office support e.g. main switchboard calls, greet visitors, office mail
  • Perform routine duties such as typing, data entry, producing labels, and filing
  • Enter carrier/broker bills and match with invoices to verify for payment
  • Scan Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Front Office paperwork
  • Enter inbound battery loads
  • Support fellow Customer Service Representatives with workloads when needed
  • Promptly resolve issues as they arise and respond to customers’ needs


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED minimally required
  • Minimum 3 years of previous work experience in customer-facing role in a professional setting
  • Superb interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
  • Meticulous attention to detail and handling of all paperwork
  • Technical proficiency with MS Office Suite and ability to quickly grasp new technology
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, maintain focus, maintain professionalism, and resolve conflicts in busy, open office setting


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with freights/trucking/logistics preferred, but not required
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required
