Job description

Aunty V's Daycare is seeking an experienced daycare assistant. The ideal candidate will have a love for children,have zest and zeal for what they do. The candidate must have a keen attention to detail to ensure the children are always in a safe environment, and be able to successfully manage up to 10 children. The candidate must also be able to engage children in age appropriate activities and follow the educational curriculum set forth by Aunty V's Daycare. Ultimately, the candidate must be trustworthy, and believe in the mission of Aunty V's Daycare.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have an high school diploma(GED)
• Must have some prior experience and/or training in early childhood education
• Must demonstrate acceptable reading and writing skills in English, and Math skills which may be involved in the teaching of young children.
• Must have computer skills( Microsoft Office)
• Must have a clean background(background check will be conducted)
• Must be CPR first aid certified(Can be obtained upon hired)
• Must adhere to little to no use of cell phones during daycare hours
• Must display a friendly, honest and welcoming demeanor to children, parents and co-workers

Responsibilities

• Should be able to input daily menu in the system
• Should be able to assist with the input of lesson plans
• Monitor children's interactions to make certain they are always safe
• Lead/Participate in recreational and educational activities
• Assist with feeding of daily meals and also with toileting needs
• various of other duties assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.25 - $16.00 per hour
