Daycare assistant/teacher/staff (BRONX NEW YORK)

We are looking to hire the right candidate.

Must be:

English a MUST, patient, responsible, dedicated, can commit long term, very professional, energetic friendly, willing to learn, be a team player and love children of all abilities and backgrounds.

Requirements:

Department of Health and Mental Health background check

Willing to be fingerprinted as per DOHMH regulations

Get First Aid/CPR Training within the month

Health and Safety training within 1 week of hire with an additional 15 hours of training every 2 years

Supervise and assist in providing a safe, nurturing and loving environment

Be able to lift children

Assist in daily cleaning of establishment

Previous experience working in a daycare setting preferred, however, not required.

Bilingual Spanish a plus!

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Initiating duties without being told what to do.
• Meet all applicable licensing regulations.
• Working with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
• Must be creative, able to organize activities and lessons, and bring new fun ideas to the program.
• MUST know how to handle and approach any overwhelming situation.
• Clean daycare throughout the day and after children leaves.
• Sanitize daycare ceiling to floor and wall to wall weekly.
• Supervise ALL activities.
• Read stories to the children.
• Assist in all aspect of classroom activity.
• Help control and maintain order in class.
• Must be energetic, outgoing, and reliable.
• MUST love children and have an unlimited amount of patience.
• Must be nurturing and supportive of children's emotional well-being.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.
• Attend to the personal care of children (example - diaper changing, meal and snack preparation, etc.)
• Maintain the cleanliness of the classroom (example - cleaning tables and chairs, toys, bathroom, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes etc.)

Minimum requirements:

One year minimum experience at a day care or classroom setting with infants and toddlers

Hours of operation are Mon-Fri from 7am to 6pm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $750.00 per week
