JOB TITLE: Deli Associate

DEPARTMENT: 0075 - Deli

Save More is currently looking for candidates full-time that have the ability to work until 8AM or 9PM into the evenings. Also looking for part-time help depending on availability.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Deli Clerks use a variety of tools and equipment to package goods for the customer.

Ability to multitask, to seamlessly switch tasks, strong interpersonal skills and Safety-conscious.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Providing responsive, exceptional service to customers by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requests.

Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats and cheeses along with a variety of salads.

Following all food safety and sanitation procedures and other regulatory agencies.

Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction.

MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash, and confirming that tools are in working order.

Confirming that all displays, products, and services comply with company standards.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education:

High School Diploma Preferred.

Experience:

Deli counter or food preparation experience however, will train the right candidate.

Excellent customer service, communication and math skills.

Other:

Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Ability to: Lift-Pull-Push-Reach-Crouch-Stooping as needed.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Ability to use repetitive motions, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
